Evergreen Trees

Sri Lanka is the original home of true Ceylon cinnamon. The aromatic inner bark is harvested to produce one of the world's most prized spices.

A tall ornamental tree covered with large clusters of fragrant creamy-white flowers. The blossoms often carpet the ground beneath the tree after flowering.

Native to southeastern Australia, blue gums were introduced to Sri Lanka during the colonial period and are now a familiar feature of the cool central highlands around Ella and Nuwara Eliya.
